i have a new TA62 with new HD adjustable wastegate.i installed it last night and to get the rod even to hook up to the little arm for the puck on my 3in. THDP i had to pretty much spin the arm all the way out.i would say i got about 3 turns on the nut to even put it back on the acutator rod itself after taking it completely off.is this right??i should be able to pull the rod out by hand right??i also took one of 3 brackets off on the compressor housing that keep it from spining and bolted the wastegate in place of it,is that correct??thats the way it looks like it goes to me anyways.the turbo puck hole has been ported smooth if it makes a difference. thanks

Sounds about right to me.It will take a lil pulling effort to get the WG rod up on the puck arm with it fully extended. If you cant pull it out at all, somethings wrong. If thats the case, blow compressed air into the WG and see if you can get it to open.

I have always needed pliers to attach the arm to the puck. You need some tension or you will never be able to build boost. What is your boost at now?

On the heavy duty actuators, you will need pliers, or some really strong hands to pull the actuator to the wastegate puck. Don't lose the Oh Crap Clip!
