Roller Cam shaft end play

What should I shoot for on camshaft end play?? I searched here and haven't found one direct answer..

.004-.010---measured off back of cam with dial indicator.

I measured .006" so I guess I'm good to go..

Tighten up

I have had them tighten up 1-2 thous. after sitting as the gasket maybe compressed--You are good. Don't look back.

So put the cam in and the timing cover on then check in the rear gallery plug hole with the dial indicator?

You must have the frt. cvr. gasket in place and the timing cover torqued/tightened down to get an accurate measurement.
