Rookie preload question

Took the rocker shafters off and on during a intake leak test. Do I have to do anything as far as preload? Based on my limited knowledge of preload I don't even understand how it would work in a shaft-mounted setup.

Bolted the rocker shafts on back to torque spec is there anything I need to worry about.

Rather ask a dumb question that fire up a car with a bound up valvetrain.
