Rpm red lining at about 75 mph...(not in overdrive) what could the problem be?

A little more info would be helpful. Are you talking about the tach or the sound of the engine? What gear is the tranny in when this happens?

The tach red lines. And It be in drive and the sound of the engine is like it need to shift but it doesn't...
