Good find, & good luck with the Warden...VIN # on trunk RPO code label should match that on dash...Hopefully the "purist" in you is appeased...

Well shoot, went to get the car yesterday and guy was supposed to meet me there and he was a no show! Well then today took my trailer back to his shop and he had sellers remorse! He decided not to sell it dammit! I think maybe he figured he priced it to cheap. He also told me he could not find the title.I think that was his excuse. So I did not get the car after all! O well!

Well Turbo6Smackdown it was the WE-2 code on the trunk lid. I told a friend of mine about what this guy did and he told me that he had done that to another guy last year. Well I told the man who has the GN if he changed his mind I would still be a buyer at the price we agreed on,but I do not think I will be hearing from him anytime soon.

I have a 1988 Buick with WE2 on the SPID label. Wonder if it's a GN???? ;)

My 88 Buick LeSabre T-Type has the WE2 option code. So WE2 wasn't only used to identify a GN. It was a general code for a particular set of options.

I have to hijack for a minute. Back in 1994 I had a 71 cutlass ''S". I bought it for $800 bucks. very nice car. There was an old man down the street that was the original owner of a 1970 W30. I told him what I paid for my car and he said he would sell me his for that price:eek: I was a poor E-2 in the service at the time and told him I would have to sell my car 1st to get the money.($800 bucks wast almost a months pay) He said no problem.
Well I sold my car and showed up on his doorstep with the cash. He greeted me out front and let me know that he talked to his son and they decide on $6500 for the car. So there I was standing there with 800 bucks and no car. I was PISSED! to say the least.

You can have your thread back now.:)
