Run additional POS Wire??

Would it be ok to run a 10 gauge wire in conjunction with the factory 8 gauge wire on the Alternator to the battery?? I know with grounds its good to run a bunch and I have lots of grounds on my car but was wondering if running and additional POS wire would hurt?

I understand replacing it with 4 gauge is best, but can I just run a 10 gauge wire with the 8 gauge? Will it hurt?

What I ended up doing is getting some 8 gauge wire and then routed it from the alternator to the "nut" on the relocation setup that Casper's sells. Now I have two 8 gauge wires running to the battery and I feel a bit more safe...:biggrin:
