Ive got a 109 block I want to use for my current buildup. Only problem is its pretty rusty. Can the machine shop get all of this surface rust off the block and its passages??? I would hate to have a piece of rust go thru a bearing.

Thanks

Are the cyl bores, main bearing bores and cam bearing bores all pretty rusty/slightly pitted??

There is a guy near union grove that does acid dipping for car bodies. Im sure they could do a engine block .

a good mach shop can put it in an oven and "bake" the block really good removes rust, paint, and all the other grime on it then you will see the damage if any the rust has done. if it is light bore and line hone may clear it up
