s-10 brakes

Whats the deal on s10 brakes drums. can I just pick up a set and bolt them on or is there other things to be changed..... axles ,studs,brake lines ext. ext thanks for any info

I think you mean S10 wheel cylinders. They bolt right up no modifications necessary. While your there go ahead and replace the shoes with all long shoes and you'll be good to go. Oh, one more thing, after your done it will be tough to do a burnout to heat the tires if you don't have a line lock so you should go ahead and do that too

I just did this. Cotton sells these parts and there are install instructions for the wheel cylinders, long soft shoes and line lock on gnttype.org. Also search on line lock and you will find a good pic on here I just used. OK, here it is, use the pic John Larkin posted:

I held about 10 psi boost with this setup and yes, as mentioned, you will need a line lock due to the increased clamping effect of the upgrade.
