Mine is leaking a bit. How hard is it to change and would a fel-pro gasket be a good choice. Also can you remove/replace without removing valve covers? Last question, I plan on getting champion heads later would it be ok to put on a ported stock intake with stock heads? Thanks Eric

Yeah the valve covers dont need to come off. The Fel-pro is a good gasket, and I would really recommend not using any silicone anywhere except the corners where the intake gaskets meet the valley rubber seals. And in that case, only use permatex "the right stuff". Most RTV's completely lose their bond when exposed to oils for just a little while. Dont understand the popularity of that crap when there are sealants that are FAR superior. Also Id strongly recommend changing the PCV grommet. Its a major PITA to do with the intake on the car. Also run a straight edge across the faces and make sure the intake isnt warped, and also make sure that all the fuel injector bores are completely clean, and use a dab of oil on all the injector o-rings before gently pushing them back in. After cleaning all the old gasket material off, run a rag with acetone across all sealing surfaces. If the ported intake's runners arent way bigger than the stock intake runners on the heads, then go ahead. But if theres a big difference, dont do it. Should get some calipers and check for consistency from runner to runner on the port job.
