Gents,

Was coming home tonight with the lady from visiting with my DJ for my wedding. Pulling out onto Route 30 in Jeannette by Advance Auto Parts. See a rollback (Nick's towing) with what I thought was a GN. So I gun it and catch up to the truck @ the red light. What do I see? A gorgeous GN on the back of the rollback! :D Did one of our local turbobuick guys have some problems or was it just getting transported somewhere? Hope everything is kosher...

ha, that was me. i live in irwin and was on my way home from my parents' in latrobe. i'm still breaking in a new motor and heard some motor noise around mt. view inn. i pulled over and sure enough i had a lot of top end noise. turned out to be a collapsed lifter. i should have it back together tonight.

thanks for the compliment though. i also thought that it looked quite striking on the flatbed:rolleyes:

Awesome!

Hope all went well with the car. Where in Irwin do you live? I actually went to Norwin HS. Nice to see that there are other Nats around in our area!

Chris

thanks. it feels good to finally have it done (for now). i'll be looking to hit the track in the next few weeks. i'll keep you guys posted.

your car?

Ryan,

Did you buy Shennifeld's old car? I saw it @ the show on Saturday. Looks and sounds good pal!

I did. It only needed a complete motor rebuild. It had 2 wiped cam lobes, spun #1 rod bearing, and all the mains were down to the copper. i don't think that he took care of the motor so it's all fresh now. plus it had N/A rods and crank. i also corrected that problem. seems to be running strong so far but i only have about 200 miles on the motor.

I see

He bought that car off of Jay Frick a while back. I know he was doing all types of things to it but never got a chance to see or hear it. I guess he just got tired of it then. Sounds like you made out pretty good!

I am still trying to get mine finished guys! It pains me to go to the show on Saturdays and not have a car there. You seen one Chevelle, you seen them all, you know!

Hopefully I can get it done this year. It is supposed to be my transportation for my wedding on Septermber 12th!

hope to meet all you guys in person soon!

Chris

Esasky you had the regal you are parting out?
If so do you still have the brackets for the tire jack and tire?
Let me know.

Welby?

No, not me. I think you may be thinking of Welby. He lives in GRBG area too. Sorry...
