Appearently his solo band was passing through town on their way to the South Texas Rockfest.
They played a little bar by TCU, only about 150 people there, they even had to use the opening acts (a local cover band) drum kit!
He hung out at the bar afterwards talking to everyone that stayed around, was pretty cool.
Played all Ratt songs and one Arcade song.
Here's a pic of my wife and him...lighting was almost non-existant and nice camara phone quality :)

What a great surprise! Woulda been cool.

That is really cool that he stuck around to hang out after the show. It looks like the 80's lifestyle has really taken it's toll on the guy judging by the pictures! I wish I could have done half of what that guy has...I'll bet it was worth it!

Yeah, age hasn't treated him well, but he still sounds great and is very active on stage! Notice the NHRA patch on his jacket? He said he really wanted to be a drag racer before he ended up in Ratt and hitting it big. He was just on "That Metal Show" on VH1C last weekend talking about his solo stuff.
Says Ratt will be back together next year for some new stuff, saw them last summer opening for the Scorpions.
Didn't even think to take a camera with us, dang it.

Wife had him sign her dinem jacket that has a ton of other musicians sigs on it including Willy Nelson and Hank III, CCR and others..he was checking out all the sigs asking who's they were.
The band he had Friday night was composed of someone who played guitar in Axthrax at some point, bass player from the current WASP lineup, and drummer from White Lion.
The bass player and Stephen stuck around after the show.
