ScanMaster 2 hookup?

I tried putting in my ScanMaster today. This is the 1st one that I have put in because I had been using turbo-link. I'm getting power because when I turn the key to right before ignition, I get the reading “2.1” on the ScanMaster. The problem is that nothing is lighting up after that. I’m not getting any info as I drive. Do I have the one line plugged into the wrong outlet? I have it in the 2nd hole from the left on the top row.

I spliced directly into the orange wire going to aldl. It makes it easier and you don't have to worry about knocking it out by accident.
