I see there is a provision in my Scanmaster to install a socket for a chip from PL to allow to display WBO2 data on the SM. Who has the socket and who can do the modification? If I could get the socket it is no problem to solder it in, but I rather have it done by a pro so I don't ruin my SM.

Charles.

You need to change the chip in the Scanmaster ONLY if your ECM chip is a 6.0
Other then that, the Powerlogger has nothing to do with it. You have to run your wideband to the Powerlogger in order for the ECM to send that signal to your Scanmaster. The Scanmaster then moves your lowband to the last screen on the display.
It all starts with whether you have a 5.6 chip or 6.0

I bought the package all at the same time. 6.0 chip, 60# injectors and PL. I had it wired and was ready to put the chip in the SM and realized there was not socket for it, however, there is a provision for a socket to be soldered in so the chip can be inserted. Back to my original question, is there a company that will do this? I heard Full Throttle can do it.

The ECM chip has nothing to do with whether the Scanmaster can be connected to the PL.

You can send the Scanmaster back to FTSS to be updated.

FTSS has a guide to which ones can be updated and which ones can't.

Thanks, I was hoping I would be all set with everything. I'm still going to send it to FFSS and have it done just in case. I have the other thread going, I'm the guy with the broken valve train.
