Ok, yanked the wire out of the powerlogger and put it in the traditional orange wire coming out of the back of the ALDL connector. But now when I turn the key forward it says version 2.2, powerlogger 24.8, then powers right off and stays off after that. What do I do.
 
Ok then, does the previous version run off of powerlogger then? Because when it was hooked up to the powerlogger, I tried changing chips back to the old version and it wouldn't run either. But now since I have it hooked back up to the aldl, will the old chip work again?
 
Also, before I started messing around with how it's wired, I lengthened one of its wires down below because someone cut it too short, and then when I would shut the car off, the powermaster would stay on for about 3 seconds, then the numbers would disappear to a few dashed lines, then after about 5 seconds it would shut off completely. Is that normal? It never did that before. So I went down under the dash to see what was up and found I had plugged the red power wire into one of the fuse block connectors called "bat". Should I have plugged this into the "ign" connector? (I did but I'm just asking)

2.1 was designed to run off the aldl stream 2.2 is designed to run off the scanmaster stream

Got it. Just as I thought. Put the old 2.1 chip in and it reads. Though its refresh rate is slow as all hell. I was told it was slower than the stream from the powerlogger but when my car was all stock I don't remember it being this slow. In fact, I know it wasn't this slow. Anyone have any clue why it's this slow now?
