Can’t get power logger to work

I have installed a power logger I got second hand and I cannot get it to work. Every time I turn the car on the scanmaster is all 0s for everything. When I take the power logger wire off the scan master works. I tried reading it with my computer hooked up it did the same. It says powerlogger version 0.0 if that means anything

What chip does the SM have in it?

I believe it needs an upgraded/updated chip to run a powerlogger.

It’s a scanmaster G so that should be good

what version software is in the PL and PLC? There should be a Scanmaster G checkbox in "Scanmaster Options" on the F3 tab.

Is the PL board black or green?

when you connect to the PL, are you disconnecting from the ALDL?
