Alright guys, I'm still trying to figure out my slightly rough idle and slight hesitation at throttle tip in. Anyone in No. VA (Manassas area) have a scanmaster that is willing to help me out? I want to fix things right and I don't want to just throw money at the problem blindly.

scanmaster is real slow to find a problem like tip in stumble

direct scan is about all that is fast enough to see it

a good chip will fix tip in stumble .. better yet is get a chip from someone like www.turbotweak.com that will fine tune your chip if its not right the first time .. but you'll need to direct scan it and email Him a file so he can see what needs adjusting

I only deal with Eric at turbo tweak on chips

with scanmaster you could check for tps settings and whatnot

with the low mileage and age of the car if it still has stock injectors then you may want to start with some good fuel injector cleaner in the tank

It just doesn't act like an injector problem. The problem really shows itself at about 1800rpm...it seems to miss. Anything above 1800 and the car runs perfect. It idles solid, but it shakes a bit like it has a small miss. I tried changing the plug wires, but that didn't change anything (I didn't like the fit of the GM replacements so I returned them). Could it be the coil pack? The plugs are also new. My thought (solely from reading this forum) was that the TPS could be out of adjustment.

I believe you car is 100% stock, right? Or do you know?

I had a tip in stumble with my 009s until I had Eric @ at Turbotweak do a chip for me. Made a world of difference over a certain other well-known aftermarket chip maker (who shall remain nameless).

I'd also try swapping in a known good MAF if you have one. (I think I've got one laying around here somewhere....)

The car is 100% stock. Mike, I'll try to give you a call tomorrow....maybe we can meet up for coffee.

GM top engine cleaner

Sounds like you could use some GM top engine cleaner - maybe lots of it. That stuff works. Instructions on how to use it are at gnttype.org. Use that to clean out the carbon before replacing any more parts. And buy a scanmaster as suggested above. :)
