Scanmaster install question

I'm getting ready to install my new Scanmaster and I had a question about the instructions. They say to install one wire to the ALDL with a blade spade connector. You only stick it in the "E" pin, correct? I'm just wondering why they chose that connector instead of just using some type of single pin connector.
Also it says to connect another wire to a fused source, suggesting the "IGN" on the fuse box. What do you use to connect it to the "IGN" slot?

there's empty spots on the fuse box that say "ign" or "bat". use a spade connector and inline fuse and one of the "ign" openings. this means that there's only power to it with the ignition on.

Do you know what amperage the fuse needs to be?

i would say 3-5 amps. it's only powering a series of led's.
