Scanmaster Issues - Car not running right

Hey there,

So my dad picked up an 84 Regal T-Type WH1 this winter. It came with a Scanmaster, a High-Flow K&N Filter and some other little goodies all hooked up. If the full list is needed I can get it.

Now though, he is saying that the car is not running right since he first got it and would like some insight as to why. He thinks it's due to the Scanmaster, as he says it appears different.

Here is a quick video I took of me starting the car, and then turning it off with the key in the ON position. It displays 2.1 Retard Degrees momentarily, but when the car is running nothing is shown.

I've tried searching these forums and google for an answer to no avail. If anyone has any info on how this thing works/ is supposed to work we would greatly appreciate it.

Does the car have the stock 84 ecm?

A scanmaster displays it's firmware version when first powered, looks like a v2.1 to me
please try to find a less spam laden host if you put up another file

Mine does the same thing displaying the 2.1

The SM is just telling you that it is the 2.1 version
