Scanmaster stopped working...

Scanmaster suddenly stopped working. Not sure what happened. When you crank the car it says "SM 2.2" then "PL" then "- - - - - -" and then goes completely blank. I do have a PL but do not have a computer to monitor it at this time. I figured I would ask here to see if someone has had this same problem before I spent time trying to figure it out. Thanks in advance for any help.

There no data in the stream from the ECM

Check ground(black) and data(white) wire connections.

Got it working. It was just the tan cable unplugged from the PL. Thanks for the help.
