SERIOUS MISPRINT in new GMHTP about new GTO

In the Dateline section, they talk about the new GTO being Officially rated at
"a first year output of 250 horsepower" . Now shouldn't that be 350!!

They'll be DOGS at only 250! I see blistering 14.9's!!!

Maybe they are being underrated on HP. I think GM has done that before on a few cars.

Well in this months HHP (High performance Pontiac) they drag test a new GTO and the very best they can do is a 14.8@97, although they claim it's press car
and MAY not be 100% representative.

97 MPH is good for high 13s

besides, they have ran 106 stock before which is good for low 13s w/ good driver (actually good for 12s w/ traction)

Its 350 HP. It is basically the base Vette engine. The car should run mid 13's all day with the auto.

Just curious...where did one run 106mph?
They've been tested in 4 or 5 mags. Best run was a 13.6@103-104mph.
Nice cars, but not exactly blistering fast.

i guess i remembered mease saying that with some slicks he could get one to run 106. MAH BAD

Wasn't flaming, just curious.
I have a little bet with a guy that one won't test in a magazine quicker than a 13.5.
So far, I'm winning.

Nice cars, but I think for $33k, they should be quicker.
