How can you tell if the seals in the servo are leaking? Not being a tranny guy, how hard is it to put in a servo valve rebuild kit? Anybody know the part number for the kit? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, R.B.

Shifts fine during normal acceleration. The harder I accelerate the softer the 1-2 shift becomes. No chirp what so ever. R.B.

Chris,

Couldn't some of the frictions be toast also? I was under the impression that after a couple of wot flare shifts the damage has been done to the clutches??

HOW

I would say it's the band or servo clearance. Check the clearance and/or put the wide Alto band in it. Seals are available 'bout anywhere.

How do you check the servo clearance? Can you tell if the servo and seals are bad just by looking at them? What are the signs that they are bad upon visual inspection? Thanks, R.B.

Push in on the cover & measure how far it moves, around .090 - .100 in.

If they are hard or torn that wouldn't be good.
