I'll be working on this this weekend. Should I get a liquid filled fuel pressure gauge or not? Once everything is set I'll remove it so I'm not looking for anything fancy. Also does autozone or napa carry these?

I know for sure AZ carries "loaner" pressure gauges. I have one in the garage that I never took back. Still have the receipt though. The one I got from them was NIB, but I verified it with my air compressor first just in case. This should do what you need and you can return it for credit.
If you're looking for a long-term keeper for testing, a liquid filled would be good to keep on hand. I've heard that leaving the liquid filled on the rail while driving can throw off accuracy due to heat and vibration, but not sure about that.
Auto meter makes some pretty good electric ones.
Or you can go with a mechanical hood mounted from a couple of the supporting vendors.
