Setting T&D Roller Rockers with new cam?

Hello all,

Tomorrow I will be putting my friend's WE4 back together that suffered a failed cam due to what appears to be the previous owners negligence of not running ZDDP. The car has GN1 Alum heads and T&D roller rockers, the cam is a 212/212 flat tappet cam with hydraulic lifters. What is the procedure with a new cam and lifters for setting backlash/preload?

just curious, is this a cam swap job or was the engine stripped to the bare block and built back up?

Cam/lifter swap only.

If you wiped a cam, that block needs to be stripped and tanked along with tossing any oil coolers in the loop.

Yep, its time for rebuild. All the wiped cam material is through out the motor. Went thru this a few years back.
