If and SG1 replacement engine was installed in a stardard n/a Regal would it have had a turbo crank & pistons?

My engine is a SG1 109 motor I bought out of the junkyard for $50. It had the carb'd intake (N/A)... and the black GM crate motor valve covers.... std bore (although it needed boring)... and a real slick rolled fillet (rods and mains) turbo crank. I drilled the lifter valley for the turbo oil drainhose. It is great basis for a 109 engine to build...and best I can tell from alot of reading... will likely have the turbo crank.

I was thinking it could have.....I've found an 85 Regal that had a replacement sg1 engine installed at the dealership in the early 90's & I was trying to figure out if it was worth the investment. It's easy to tell the 20 bolt 109 but I doubt I could convince the owner to let me pull the oil pan and a rod cap.:D

Crank, maybe.

Rods Yes.

Pistons are higher compression.

At least in the ones I have found.
