Shift kit/convertor?

I've noticed this the more I've driven my TR. I have to lift quickly to get the car to shift 1-2 from a dig. I'm running 16-17psi. My first thought is a convertor/shift kit would solve this problem.

The car will have a TT chip, 42# injectors, a PS intercooler, and run 20psi at the most. I run 275/60/15 MT radials out back.

What convertor/shift kit would be the best for this setup? I'm new to automatic transmissions, so be easy.

What turbo do you have or are planning on using? This will help determine the converter needed. I doubt a shift kit will fix the problem with 1-2, but I will need more info from you to help. PM Sent.
