Hey guys, i just brought my 87 turbo t to pep boys for an inspection and they somehow managed to break the shifter cable out of the rubber boot. Its clamped back on now as a temporary fix but i was wondering where i can find the correct cable for the my car? i looked around and saw a few people saying that sometimes parts stores were ordering them one that was too short? I found this one online, is it correct? And how complicated is it to install? Thanks

also, after they clamped the shifter cable back together, my reverse lights dont go on, could that be because the cable isnt set properly?

Have them buy it from G-body parts or nos4gn (both are vendors)
Save yourself A BUNCH OF HEADACHES & buy the OEM part ONLY
do a search, I went through 5 aftermarket ones.
OEM is more $$ initially, but CHEAP insurance in the long run...
Install is straight forward; cotter pin & washer on each end;
make sure you don't swap your ends
you don't even really need to jack the car up; takes just a few minutes
No idea about the B/U lites :confused:
