shifter identification? maybe the elders here would know?

Got this Auto trans shifter in a GTO PARTS lots.. IT is not a PONTIAC SHIFTER.

Anyone know? Maybe the Grumpster might know since he owns a auto salvage yard in his house :biggrin:

Does the boot push down? Looks like a modified Oldsmobile style shifter.

Looks like a shifter off an Oldsmobile 442...What confuses me is the pull up lever...has this been added to it?

A Friend mentioned a BM rachet shifter...??

I thought OLDS too cause they had a short wood handle shifter in the 442's

The short pull up lever is all part of it..... I tried pushing boot down but don't want it to rip

That is a B&M Megashifter. Ratchet style. Got one in my 84 Z28 although mine is nicer looking. ;-)
I hate it though.
