I made a post earlier about car short shifting and also not down shifting like it should. I removed the pan and dropped the valve body to find some trash. Almost looked like a pieace of clear glass?? Have no idea what it was. After giving everything a good cleaning and putting it back together, car shifts fine now. Thought I had maybe found the problem. But after driving to town today, car started short shifting again. It would almost make it into o/d before getting through the light.

This is something the car doesn't do all the time. It will do it maybe 2-3 stops and then go back to normal.

I know some of you had mentioned the tcc/sel or the gov spring. Could this be my problem.

Where can I get hese parts and where is the gov. spring located. I saw the sel.

Thanks for the help.:)

Could be either, the tcc/sol is cheap enough to replace to have peace of mind about it. A brand name Fitzall sells a universal replacemet for the 700/200 found at many auto parts stores. The gov is under an oblong shaped kinda round at one end cover near the rear with 4 bolts holding it on. Just unbolt it and try to not tear the gasket and gov just slides out.

Thanks Mark

Looks like I'll be doing the trainy shampoo thing again. I'll go ahead and get both of them while I'm at it.
Might get up with Bruce and get his shift kit to.. Suppose to be one in my car but have no idea what kind it is, if any.
