Pics attached. I'm partial to without but want more opinions.

Could always install it without the shield , but use a turbo blanket?

The shield does help with underhood temps and protecting the hood from heat.. although I never had an issue.

Heat is not a big issue since the hot side of the turbo and the downpipe are ceramic coated.

The only opinion that matters is yours :) I went through a phase where I liked it without a shield. Then got tired of that look and put the shield back on. Lol.

Either, but if you must run a shield, may I suggest one of SPOOLFOOL2's (SPOOLFOOL PRODUCTION)
custom turbo heat shields.

It's your car and your choice go with what you like.

I have always ran the shield. The turbo just looks weird to me without it on. I bought my chrome shield from Kenne Bell when they were doing Buick products years ago and it still looks brand new.

IMHO, If your just going to let it rust out and look like a turd, My vote would be to cover it up. If you can make it look good, then you've got the option to go "commando". :D
When my Precision 6265 was new, I painted it with Eastwood Cast Iron high temp paint. It still looks like this, years later.

At least it does under my home made turbo shield.:D
Here's the one I did for Gary's car.

I roll without! ... J/K I don't have a choice

I'd say without because your setup is super clean. If it wasn't I say cover it.

Your chrome shield looks great! Not running the shield I damaged my hood pad. Now I have the option of going either way. Lol. I like the look of the stock shield with the vents to let the air circulate.
