I never look at my w/b guage or scanmaster unless I'm sitting in my driveway trying to check sensors. Log it with powerlogger and review since you can see all the gauges at any time. You could get away with not having the w/b guage, but a bad ground could mean you could see a difference between the scanmaster/powerlogger voltage for the w/b and the actual w/b reading for afr that your gauge is displaying. There is an offset voltage adjustment in powerlogger to get them in sync up to a point.

That's why I decided to get an actual gauge so I keep an eye on it and I can also log it with the powerlogger. Better safe than sorry.

There's this: http://www.aemelectronics.com/wideb.../inline-wideband-air-fuel-uego-controller-36/ and this: http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/products/performance/afx.asp or this: http://www.plxdevices.com/product_info.php?id=SEMOSMAFRV2 and this: http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc2.php
None of those require a gauge, you can just hook them up to the Powerlogger and view the readings on the laptop or Scanmaster. The AFx does have the display if you want to see it but it could just as easily be mounted in the glove box or somewhere. You can download the Powerlogger software here: http://www.fullthrottletech.com/showthread.php?t=2627 and open it to see the graphics. On page 3 there are options for what brand wideband and what you want displayed on the updated Scanmaster.
I have a power logger, scanmaster and an innovate wb. How do I get the scanmaster to display the wb reading?

Another option for installing your WB gauge is in an aftermarket gauge pod. I have mine in a 4 gauge unit that sits on the radio surround.
A 3 gauge pod that mounts to the side of the instrument panel surround is also a viable option. While your doing this project, why not grab an electronic fuel pressure gauge to mount in the gauge pod. AEM has one & it would match your WB gauge. Hook up using a transducer & tie it into your PL so you can log fuel pressures at the same time.
