I haven't been on here for awhile. As many of you know my Buick is my favorite car. The only reason I am considering to sell is because I am buying a beautiful GN from a very good friend. Now I have the dilemna on which one to keep. I've had mine 10 years and have only driven it 600 miles. I think I would drive the new one more. It is more 'factory', but thats what I liked so much about mine..not so factory.

Never thought I would ever think of selling, but I really like the one I am buying and maybe its time for someone else to enjoy the Sledgehammer.

Gotta go..little choked up..;)

This goes back to another thread Rob. When was your car fun to drive? My guess is that the car's got way more power than you need so it's not as much fun on the street now. Maybe you could just de-tune it some and get the fun back rather than buy one from someone else.;)

I do not think you would have a problem selling that car. I now ever would keep it if I was you.

Sell it to me.........you will take a check right.??????

These cars are double edged swords. I'm not sure what you run but I'd bet it is a lot faster than 12.0's. That said the thrill of driving a car like that is unexplainable to those who don't drive a car like that plus my turbo scream sounds like a bald eagle in my left ear, I love it. I love the way heads turn when it spools!!!!! I still have A/C and cruise control and I take short trips under 400 miles one way with it so I justify it. The other edge of the sword is it is pretty much useless on wet pavement and a handfull on dry pavement with the boost turned up. Lets face it while they are docile they are not traffic friendly really. You can't "gas on it" for longer than 2-3 seconds or you will be exceeding every speed limit in the country. The thrill is just so short lived. Now my Stage 1 four speed, 464", with the Mickey Thompson headers is a thrill just easing through th egears and hearing it breathe, exhaling and inhaling if you know what I mean plus the rumble of the 3" exhaust all the time no matter whether your stopped or doing 20-30-40-50-60 or 70. Our V-6's just do not replicate that sound. But the Stage doesn't kick you in the butt the T or deliver the fuel mileage to take those trips.

isnt factory only fun for a short time? It was for me. completely stock gn less than 3 months of owning it, its far from stock.... My point being how long will it stay stock for? problem is you already have a nice car. tough decision but id keep both :D

Lotto? Check? haha guys.

Couple things. My car is an absolute blast to drive. I feel super safe in it and could probably drive it across country and knock down 20+mpg.
It will break the tires loose at any speed. Remember, it is only 3100lbs.

The other car is a low mileage mint condition GN that is far from stock. It is an extremely high end brand new build, but retains a stock appearance except for rims, tires, leather interior and 4 point roll bar.

I know the decision is mine, but I do value the opinions and input here.

At least the potential replacement for "my favorite car" is another TR.

Drum rollllllllll.........and your asking price is...??????

Drum rollllllllll.........and your asking price is...??????

I have no idea. I guess if I commit to sell I'll come up with a #.

Open to suggestions. You guys are the experts...

Set the price real high. If it doesn't sell your still on top, if it does sell your happy with how much it sold for...Also we dictate what our market does so the more you ask and sell it for, the more value it has.

Yeah, I have been listing cars on ebay with a high reserve to test the market and then re-list at no reserve. Got a Coronet on there now and sold 2 1968 Z-28 cross ram cars on there in february. I use ebay as worldwide advertising. Usually get buyers after auction ends.

I guess I'll just wait until I get the other GN and drive it some and decide. I know I'm gonna like it though..

I like the Simmons wheels. May I ask the size of the tires, front and rear?
Please keep this thread posted if you decide to sell. I have it on my watch list. Beautiful car!

you have a beautiful GN, I would keep it your going to have sellers remorse,:( but!! in the event I were to settle my case soon enough
I would make you an offer. I don't believe you will sell it, that's your baby. keep both. at least until I settle \:)

I've thought of selling my GN many of times just to buy another that I would drive more often without my OCD tendencies getting the best of me. In the end, I just decided to enjoy the car I have now more often. In your case, I would either keep both or keep the car you will drive (and enjoy) more often. After all, life is too short to not enjoy what you have now. Either way, its a good problem to have and one that we all wish we had :D
