Should I upgrade my 51 or rebuild the 63-e?

I am in the middle of changing over to a roller cam set up and while its apart i am going to have to do something turbo wise. Should i upgrade my TA-51 to the largest i can go (dont really know what that is) or should i rebuild this 63-e big shaft i have laying arount and change the exhaust housing to a 3 bolt style?
The 51 has low miles on it , but ate a massair screen and bent the inlet fins so its going to need to be rebuilt anyway.
I have a 3000 stall 9x11 and 50# injectors with a translator. Probably will have to move up in injector, but what would you do?

i would get the 63 turbo rebuilt by john craig, he might get you a heck of a deal on a PTE .63 3 bolt housing-

he rebuilt my te45a all new for around 475?? awhile ago and he also stepped me up from a garrett .63 to a PTE .85 :)


that turbo might be a little too big for a 3000 stall, so you could get a RJC style bleeder to improve spool. i know this works awesome, also get Eric Marshall to help improve spooling with one of his chips.


You would need larger injectors for high boost application, but you could get a alky chip from Eric Marshall, and a Methanol kit from Julio, this would get you to about 25PSI of boost with alot of timing, maybe even more booooost....

seems that alot of people are going just as fast with this combo as we used to go with full out race gas and race chip.
