I am a little late in posting this as life has been a handful lately.... but...

http://caninesportsrec.com/puppies/puppies.html

Some history on the pups. There were 4 but two were still born :-(

The sire was collected (semen) 17 years ago when the program began. He was one of the first ones the doc did.

Now, 17 years later, he has been dead for a few years but a little thawing...some surgical implantation...and tada....puppies :-)

Way to cool...but don't let them chew on the power cords.....How do you collect semen from the dog?

They chew on EVERYTHING. We have gotten used to puppies and their evilness over the last 15 years so we don't get too worked up over it.

As for collecting....I have never been on hand but my understanding is they bring in a bitch in season...let the male get excited...and crank him off by hand into a collection container.

Sounds like something you would see on youtube!

One billion dollars :-)

We are not selling these two. Our other adults have all finished their show titles so time to start some new ones.

Thanks :-)

If you are considering a Siberian you should check out this link:

So...You Want a Siberian Husky

They are not the dog for everyone and you should know ahead of time what you are in for.

If you have never owned one and really want to get one.....drop me an e-mail and we can chat. There are some issues with these dogs that a lot of people don't understand and they end up in shelters because they "aren't like a lab or a golden..."

Thats cool ! my wife wants one and yours are very nice !

Huskies shed like 4 golden retrievers aday....

Renthorin has answered some of my questions about my dog over the yrs,,he knows his stuff..

Yes, 'excess hair' is a bonus of having a Siberian. Currently, including the two pups, we have 5 so my carpeting is pretty much trashed.

We run the vac every day and it doesn't make a dent in the hair.

Good lookin dog

Some good lookin pups. That lil rednose is a keeper. Wish I would have gottem my stud dog's(Patterdale Terrier) sperm banked he's 14 now and his sperm probably have forgotten how to swim upstream.. That would be awesome to have ones stud-dog still producing progeny for many generations after losing the ability to copulate..........

We haven't had a Huskey for about 4 years now and we still find hair.:p Great looking pups. We might get another one next year after the youngest daughter is a little older.

Yeah....I was at lunch today and pulled a hair from my mouth. My coworker said "eww...you got a hair in your sandwich."

I looked at it...white on one end black on the other. I said "it is a Husky hair..."

He said how can you tell?

I gave him the "please..." look. I have hair all over the place.

I love these types of dogs. The working breeds anyway. Shedding? You guys dont know what shedding is until you get a Samoyed. I got one for my wife 3 years ago as she wanted a dog and it had to be white fur. I wanted a Husky or something that looked Wolf like. I don't particularly like Boxers or Bulldogs because of their face and nose. Greyhound is a little to pointed. The Samoyed was good compromise. Here is a pic of our dog. His name is Nimbus and he's from show winning lineage too. We would like to show him but I don't have the time or the tolerence to deal with that crowd. As far as the shedding goes. I've busted more vacuum cleaners than I can count. Every month I clean up enough fur to make sweaters for a 3rd world country.

Looks a lot like our last Huskey, a solid white male that was stolen 4 years ago while we were at church. :frown:

I agree, they're a handful at times, (like the 2 am howls) but lots of fun in the snow! Here's my 88 pound fatboy!
