Hi All,

This is a petition gathering signatures against the new regulations that would basically shut down Englishtown Race Track, a racetrack that's been open for more than 40 years when there was nothing there but a few scattered farms. Now some people that were stupid enough to buy $500,000+ houses less than a mile away from one of the largest racetrack in the country are petitioning the town to impose yet again more noise regulations. These new regulations would pretty much shut the track down.

Please sign and share with anyone else that you think would sign.

If the moderators see fit, please make this a sticky.

Thanks,
Art.

I will make this a stickie, it is more direct and a little easier for the members to just submit their on-line signatures. ;)

I must say though, I believe If its not a top fuel car, It should have to have full exhaust on it,
The one thing i hate about going to the race track is open header cars,With the exhaust avaiable today you can go just as fast with one
Thats why i am putting a 4" mandrel stock location system on my car in the next week or so
Oh by the way, I signed it.

silence

I think there is a piziod crystal technology that can elemnate sound. I am for full exhaust. This will allow younger 1-9 year olds the ablity to stand at the burn out box and watch. The top fuel cars are show and that is part of that. I Don't want to loose any more of our race tracks.

I signed it, no we do not want to lose another historical track!!!

:p

Just signed it too.
It'll be my luck I'll finish this car and they'll close the track:rolleyes:
My fear is the town fathers will see its closing as more land available for more $500,000 homes that will add to their tax base.
Will they even consider out of towners signing this? We don't pay taxes there or vote for them. They have nothing to loose. Only we do.
One other thing...I know (now that I'm an old foggy) If I lived on Englishtown road I wouldn't like people racing and reving up their engins as they leave the track. I know the energy level is high when you're leaving, but lets try to keep it down. Maybe we can all help defuse this. ;)
