In considering a roadrace engine for my DatsunZ, Scottie-GNZ has been pulling me to the dark side - As I told Scottie, God help me!
I'm seriously considering this swap but require a stick if I go with the Stage II.
I'll probably be building a low boost 9:1 c.r. turbo motor - The SIIs' large head flow capability is fascinating. I've built numerous turbo motors (incuding one TR) so I know what's involved in principle.
1.Does anyone here know what transmission(s) was/were used with the
Busch series motors? Any sources for same?
2. Are the rear crankshaft flanges' bolt patterns standard for SIIs?Do they all
have a pilot bushing recess?
3.Would like to hear from anyone that has bellhousings/flywheels/clutches
for sale - also complete engine setups with drysump, etc. in addition. I
actually think that the "undesirable" short stroke motor may be best for my
application!
4. Any other insight into this project for a SII newb would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick
