Slavageable Fuel Rail?

I found an old fuel rail for an 85 Turbo Regal and the Shrator Valve thing is broken off. Can I just thread the openeing and put a brass piece of some sort on it to hook up to a fuel gauge? Or should I just though it out?

There are plenty of them floating around.....I think I've got a couple of them...I'll look when I get home and pm you.
