O.k I have a 15x7 aluminum rims off a 3rd gen Firebird and I want to mount slicks to it and rum them on my TTA at the track. Will a 26x8.5 M/T slick fit? Would I need any backspacing? If so how much. I also seen list a 26x9 from Hoosier. Any help on this would be great as this is my first time getting slicks and all and not sure what to get. Thanks, Jason

I run a set of MT 28x9's on a set of 3rd gen 15x7's and they fit just fine. I would get the 28x9's, mount them, and be done with it. The problem your going to have is going to be with the wheels digging into the cooling fins on your rear rotors. You have to grind the fins down a bit so they wont rub on the inside of the 15" wheels. Its no big deal though.
