Slow Spoolup

I just put a new set of 50# injectors and a Jim Testa chip in my father's GN.Man I tell you, this chip rocks.17lbs boost with 0 knock (815 mv/o2's)with the fp set at 35psi static. Now the thing I noticed is how slow the turbo spools. From 0-8 lbs it feels like it's spooling a supercharger and from 10-up it's pretty decent.I suspect a small exhaust leak on th d/s header, but unsure on how to verify it.And also the car has a "fishtank valve"inline with the wastegate plumbing. Will this type of valve effect spoolup with at the wrong setting?I was looking to eliminate the whole fishtank valve and adjust boost via w/g rod. What do you guys think?...

header leak, too rich at spool up, mis-matched converter (not enough stall......not likely, if you really have 3500 stall)

This is my father's car(not mine/sig).The turbo is a stage4 "netics"(equivelent to a te-60),converter is a 10''l/u with 3000-3200 stall.

I really think there is a header leak on the d/s side. There is a noise present and leads me to believe that there is in fact a leak.I'm gonna have to hunt the noise down and see for myself.I'll post back of what I found.......Thanx for the reply AZGN:)
