can a bad torque convertor lead to poor low end power? I post this question in the general tech area and no one could really answer my question, they all thought it was a tuning related issue. anyway for the past few months or so I have noticed a drop off in low end acceleration. The car is killer on the top end but as of late can't seem to get out of it's own way on the low end. when i spool up the turbo and let loose it just does'nt have the uummph it used to even when everything is in perfect order. The trans shifts good and firm but not tire chirping hard, I also have a low budget 2800 stall convertor that I installed 2 yrs ago. Could a convertor be bad, thus hurting performance but yet still shift okay and pull strong up top.

Yes converter may be the culprit. Try another and see what happens. A "good" one. :D
