SM SCARED ME TODAY!!!!

finally stepped on car just a while ago...my recall was 822 and hold your lunch....11.3 on the retard..knock gauge was in first two green lights....any help is useful....also installed 160 T STAT today but fan still not kicking on until 210 then cools down to 196 fan shuts off then 205-207 its back on could the fan switch be bad...why is SM showing like there is a AFTER MARKET chip..open loop

Dont know, but mine does the same. And i have a 160 thermostat as well

Are you still running the OEM chip? Your chip controls the fans set points. The after-market chips usually turn the fan on at a lower temp closer to your 160 T'stat. If your still running the OEM chip you really should consider upgrading to an after-market performance chip like Turbo Tweek. You will also need to upgrade your fuel pressure regulator to a Bosch 237 or an adjustable unit to suit the chips fuel pressure requirements.

yes as of now...but waiting on TT chip...emailed ERIC at TURBO TWEAK the new chip will turn on at 166*...
