I've been running my V4 intercooler without a shroud for a couple of years due to the orignal getting bent up.

I've had my SMC alky kit installed for a couple of months now with the 1/2 gallon container mounted on the passenger side of the fan shroud.

Does anyone with a V4 intercooler (and shroud) have any clearance issues with the alky bottle and the intercooler shroud.

I've got a replacement intercooler shroud ready to install, but from just looking at it, I'm not sure it will fit.

Thanks,

I'll be putting an alky kit on my setup in the next week or so. I've got a V4 in the car right now. I'll let you know of any problems with the location of the tank as I get into it.

I know this doesn't help you immediately, but maybe we'll both learn a little here.

Sounds great Tom.

Keep me posted on how the install goes. I had absolutely no problems. Very straightforward install.

Thanks,
Jeff

I've got the old SMC set up with v4. Tight but no problems. Smc bottle is mounted on the fan schroud. The new style bottle seems like it would be more conducive to tighter spaces.

Yeah,
mine is the new rectangular style. I believe the old one were round ?

I'll let you know if I get the V4 shroud installed this weekend.

Just got done installing my SMC alcohol kit on the GN. I didn't have any problems with the round 1/2 gallon tank fitting with the V4 intercooler. There is even a little room for some play or adjustment if needed. Pretty slick setup really. Can't wait to test and tune with it.
