Does anyone have instructions to install SMC kit? I took my kit off GN and gave to a buddy who just installed twin turbos on a 96 impala.

which kit ...smc made a couple
pump in bottle or progressive?

i really cant see why if you just took it off you would even need instructions especially to go on an impalla twin, any instructs i can post are for install in a GN

if its pump in a bottle simple
mount the bottle wherever you can , drill a hole for nozzle(you should need two) in up pipe before throttle body , run a hose from bottle to nozzle(s) , run wire harness from bottle to inside car and connect to box, run vac line to box (tee to boost gauge) , connect red to power and black to ground ,
put denatured alky and a cap of lube in the bottle
then go blow it up as i really dont see an smc doing much for a twin SBC unless the turbos are really really small

edit..
i posted instructs a while ago , a search would have brought them up

Thank you. Yes it was the in tank kit but pump burned out so he made his own pump and tank. And yes he probably will blow it up. Thanks again.

I wonder where he got the idea to do that :D

Cal, He did pretty good on that car from not knowing anything about turbos and no instructions with the kit he got. We took it to track 2 weeks ago and he ran a 12.8 with a crappy 2.xx 60'. I dont know how long motor will stay together being stock but for being that big of a car it was impressive. He was trying to use his stock fuel pump for SMC kit which i dont think it will work. And he wanted to use only one of the nozzles. How much psi will he need for the alky? Thanks, Jason

I wasn't taking anything away from him. He's doing great! Last time we were together, I pushed him very hard to put alky on the car (along with a couple other things). I was just glad he finally did it. That factory fuel pump may work, although the pressure is much lower. I would suggest getting a new alky pump from Julio.

I know you werent. I re read my post and i worded it wrong. So do you think 1 nozzle is good enough for that motor? I guess we can try it and if it needs another it wont be hard to do. It only dynoed around 350 hp and i dont think he can run more then 12lbs of boost with alky on a stock motor.
