Just picked up an old school (non-progressive) SMC kit. Anybody have pics of one installed? There is no bracketry for the bottle, not exactly sure where I'm going to mount it.

If that has the round or square bottle and the pump is dry, the pump is likely in non working order...Be VERY careful before putting boost to it.

X2, even if it hasn't been dry, be VERY careful... Is it the round or the square? The round came with what looked like normal large hose clamps that had a bolt/nut on one end & you'd drill 2 holes in the electric fan shroud to mount the hose clamps, slide the bottle through, then tighten. Perhaps something like that would work out for you if you found clamps large enough.

I plan on replacing the pump with a new EFI pump out of an FFV V8 application (truck). I have the flow curve for the pump, seems to be just about perfect for the ratings I have seen for the M10 nozzle, 15 gph @ 100 psi if I remember correctly. I also plan on mounting a pressure gauge to the hood to keep an eye on things, right next to my fuel rail pressure gauge.

The kit has the square bottle. I'll probably end up fabbing my own bracket(s) to mount it.

Thanks for the pics Bishir. I don't doubt that a newer, progressive kit is superior....just trying to get my feet wet, picked this one up for pretty cheap.
