So I was at a car show this weekend and need some thoughts

The local car shows that I have been to have been with my friend and his '86 Olds Cutlass. It's a survivor and daily (summer time) driver that has many issues. He keeps the car detailed to the max and we get more people stopping to look than many of the customs and hot rods. We'll probably never win anything but we sure meet a lot of great people. Which is what the shows are about in my opinion.

Well I learned, a good friend said it best. "It will make you work harder." Yup, engine bay tidy a bit, trunk kit. Had a great opportunity today at a REALLY tough show which was the Rides on Monmouth in Newport KY, across from Cincinnati. There must have been 250 cars there. Of course umpteen 60s -70s chevelles, novas, vettes, mustangs, camaro, etc. So they call my class 84-down...top 50 I thought....great not even a chance with this many....zzzz....zzzz....zzzz classic muscle cars. So me being a "Debbie Downer" as 40 60s cars were selected, they come to me, top 10. Holy $hit!

So far since the changes:

Best of class New Richmond River Days
Top 25 post 80s Rivers Edge collision....had to leave and didnt judge paint and docked for overall presentation 13 points of 50...or would have pulled 2nd
Ava's Army benefit top 30
Rides on Monmouth top 50
