Me sitting here with a new FMIC on the way starts my wheels turning. LOL
Why not run a small shot of nitrous, dry. then run a a Alky Control kit and bypass the IC altogether. Keeping everything on pump gas or at least unleaded.
I would think it would work around town. I know it would work at the track. Our cars will spool extremely fast with the IC's off...I'd bet. So I can't help but brainstorm, memorial day tomorrow...so goofing around tonight. LOL:)

there is a already a post with pics on this topic... he had alky injection PRE and Post turbo..... interesting read.... he said he had INSTA_Spool and gained a lot of boost by removing his intercooler and just running from the turbo to the throttle body....

I saw the post you are speaking of...I was looking at the different angle of using pump gas and nitrous then a normal prog. alky kit from julio.
That car is doing something with E85 that I couldn't do...down here, you just don't see that fuel.

Have to understand the cooling has nothing to do with E-85. Becuase the injectors are placed above the ports where there is no time to really do anything.

You can achieve results without running an IC. The downside is your consumption will be higher and your reliance on the alky will be even greater. Your room or margin for error will be reduced. And I really dont see a benefit on a street car except your doing things in a different fashion. That stretch IC on a Buick is really hard to beat coupled with an alky kit. I'd say down into the 8's very easy.

Now nitrous has the downfall it aggravates detonation. Meaning it doesnt help with knock. So you take off the IC.. aggravating knock, add nitrous.. aggravating knock.. run pump fuel.. aggravating knock.. you make a small mistake in your tuneup.. bottle pressure changed.. even a simple drop in fuel pressure coming from a traffic light.. kabooom... your working $$$$ on the car. On a car specified for a specific class, or a race car that sits on a trailer which you can run with limited distractions.. go for it.

I have customers with race cars that do not have any space for an IC, or are trying to shave weight. These are excellent candidates. But for a 10, 11, 12 second Buick.. try and enjoy a car that has enough problems staying together under heavy demands with parts that are getting harder and more expensive to come by everyday.

Want faster.. easier.. buy a better set of heads, bigger cam to compliment the heads.. and then a turbo to match those parts. its about air management not getting rid of an IC to go faster. You can get a 109 Buick to run high 9's at 20 PSI boost. Just spend the money in the right areas.

KISS.. Keep It Simple Stupid

You'd need to run a TON of Meth with a Gas setup to do this right. With a strong enough alky pump to run at least 3 nozzles of two M15's and a M2-M4 preturbo you can put a hurt on the MAT temps. Julio says he has a 300psi in the works, sounds like the Hulk pump is up to this job.

Nitrous isn't in my vocab but I'd say it would be too many nagging kids under the hood to keep track of for the average parent. ;)
