(sorry bout the double post)symtoms of a bad turbo?

what kinda noise does a bad turbo make? Usually when I drive my GN hard the turbo chokes/coughs and I thought it might be a bad coil pack...but yesterday I was messing wit a v6 auto mustang AND NO MATTER HOW HARD I PUT THE PETAL DOWN THE MUSTANG PULLED ON ME and then my car makes an extremely loud poping noise and the noise continues under any sort of acceleration or movement, it drives ok, idels a lil rough and isn't leaking any where..it still boosts but the popping noise becomes more rapid....I thought it might be a spark plug that became loose and blew out but when I checked they were all physcially there.

The normal wear on a turbo would be up and down play, in and out play. When a turbo goes south it would start smoking like crazy out the tail pipes and or make a screaching sound while in boost.

IMO, You should inspect turbo everytime you change the oil.

Sounds like it could be alot of different things.... I would check the MAF sensor (always good to have a spare), firing order, coil pack(another good thing to have) and go from there. ARE you getting any KR?

this is the first time it made the popping noise! Iv'e never pushed the car so hard but I couldn't belive a 240lb torque AUTOMATIC V6 MUSTANG was gonna beat my 330lb torque GN
