I need the part number for the file to fit rings. It appears that so far no one has a listing for these for a buick. This is for stock pistons standard bore. The only thing I have been able to find are the non file to fit replacement moly rings W-434 or something like that. I also need to know where I can get these.

RINGZ

In the FWIW dept: The stock rings are metric and as such may not be readily available as a file to fit set.:(

So what you are saying is that I am stuck with these rings that are moly and speedpro just not file to fit. (Which is OK) or I buy and aftermarket piston and go the standard or overbore route and then use file to fit rings. No wonder I can not find anything. Well this is not a huge set back but I will need to check piston to wall clearance and ring end gap before assembling the thing.

FILE FITZ??

Machine gun.. That's bout it, unless someone else has file fitz for metric ring grooves.. Anybody??
If the walls are loose and tapered somewhat, I'd go the bore route and do the min. over.[.020]
I run my rings loose on end gap.. Kinda like the circle burners do.. Keeps the gas from being trapped between the top and second ring area and causing ring flutter. Smokes a bit on cold start... But we have alot of mosquitoes here that luv oil smoke and race gas!!:D :D
Did you do a leakdown B4 you took it apart??
