Hey Guys,
I just switched from 100 octane to 93 and SMC alky.
Just wanted to see where some of you start to spray. I started out at 11PSI and was having 2 problems.
1. I was getting some transitional knock when the boost came up really fast (for example when nailing it from a roll in 2nd or 3rd gear)
2. transition to spray on was not always smooth - I could tell when the alky started to spray cus the engine would lay down a bit.
I kept turning the "spray on" point down and it got better and better. I'm at 4-5 PSI now and all is good. Smooth as glass even under part throttle boost. Is this where most folks start to spray?
couple of other things about changes to my tune:
translator settings went from +12% WOT fuel with 100 octane (800mV) to -2% WOT fuel with 93 and alky (800mV)
went from 21 PSI on 100 octane to 23 PSI now with 93 and alky and still seem to have room for more boost.
went from 21 degrees timing with 100 octane to 23 degrees with 93 and alky and may have some room for more timing too.
