Sputtering Noise

In the past few days, I've noticed a loss of power in my GN. It runs fine when I lay off of the boost, but when I lay into it, it still has guts, but not as much as it once had. Also, when I drop throttle quickly from say 5 lbs of boost, I hear a weird sputtering noise. All of this makes me think that the stock turbo may be going. I don't have a scan tool yet, but my Scanmaster 2 is in the mail and should be here this week. Any opinions?

Shane......I just finnished posting a thread with the same problem you describe........sure hope it's not the turbo!!!!!!

Double check your hoses. Maybe leaking boost.
Do you have an aftermartet air filter? Usually you can hear the turbo flutter more with one. It happens when you close the throttle plate under boost. If you know the sound, but now it is louder, then that may be the hose/connection leak if you have one.
