What do you think? My first impression was for off-road use not the most ideal set up. Having the turbo exposed to dust, dirt, mud has to significantly shorten life expectancy. Or water splashing on a very hot exhaust side or lost pressure because the turbo is so remote?
One of his posts he said he lost compression on two cylinders from driving in a heavy rain storm for 2 hours and got some water in it. After that though, he said he put it back the way STS ships it and drove around trying to get water in it, and had no problems. He's a nice guy, I'm sure he'll answer your questions, he's answered mine, I'm going to do a similiar install on my truck, but custom, I can't afford $4k for a kit!
I've installed a few of them so far. They work very good. There is some lag in first gear but hold steady boost after that on 6 speed cars.So far we have pushed 700rwhp out of a 01 Camaro with a forged block, ported heads and small cam running 14lbs on pump gas.
$4000.00 is not expensive in the LS1 based engine world.
